Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical unit on the night shift. You will deliver individualized, quality patient care in partnership with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. Using the nursing process, you'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across all age groups—pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric—appropriate to their clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team and patient/family
• Provide direct patient care with strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Document care thoroughly and communicate effectively with all team members
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to hospital policies and state nursing standards
• Work independently while promoting teamwork across departments

Schedule & Contract

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 4, 2026

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Maine (or Authorization to Practice pending endorsement)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required within 6 months of hire)
• Excellent assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to function independently
