Perioperative Charge Nurse – Weekend Coverage

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Perioperative Charge Nurse to provide weekend coverage in the operating room. This is a 12-hour day shift role with a 0630 start time.

Responsibilities

Lead perioperative nursing staff and support daily operations in the OR. You'll manage charge nurse duties including staff coordination, patient flow, and clinical oversight. This position may require floating to Med/Surg and Critical Care units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of current perioperative charge nurse or relief charge nurse experience
• Current California Board of Registered Nursing licensure
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
• Two or more years of critical care experience
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification

Position Details

• Schedule: 12-hour days, 0630–1830, primarily weekends
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Start Date: September 4, 2026
• Location: Chico, CA
