Respiratory Therapist – NICU/PICU

Position Overview

Join the respiratory therapy team in a busy pediatric and neonatal critical care environment. You'll deliver comprehensive respiratory care to high-acuity patients across the NICU and PICU, performing 20–25 treatments per shift.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekends & holidays: As scheduled (6 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle)
• Preference scheduling available
• No float or on-call requirements
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in PICU and/or Level 4+ NICU
• RRT preferred (CRT considered)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Assist-only intubation (no independent intubation required)

Clinical Scope

You'll manage all aspects of respiratory care including ventilator management (Hamilton, Servo), noninvasive support (BiPAP, high-flow), treatments, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, airway management, and intrahospital transport. An intensivist or hospitalist is in-house daily.

Contract Details

• 13 weeks (start date: September 5, 2026)
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Department-specific orientation based on your experience
• Dress code: Stone or light gray scrubs

You won't work alone—the facility maintains 8 RTs per shift to support the clinical load.
