Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse for a 13-week night shift contract. You'll work 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) providing direct patient care and monitoring in a fast-paced telemetry unit.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring
- Current Ohio state license (permanent) or compact license, in hand at time of application
- Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from an assignment within the past 12 months—co-worker references will not be accepted
- Charge nurse experience is preferred
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions available)
Compliance & Testing
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation; both require passing scores (maximum 2 attempts)
- Background check review (no open cases accepted; facility does not accept license hits)
- Nicotine-free drug screen (10-panel + cotinine) required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
Other Details
- You may only apply for one position within this health system at a time
- Permanent and per diem staff cannot return to the health system for 1 year from their previous end date
- Extension opportunities available up to 18 months, followed by required 6-month break (may be deferred case-by-case)
