Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) on a 3x12-hour schedule, providing acute care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department
• Perform ECG interpretation and rhythm recognition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage acute and emergent cases
• Complete orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent Emergency Department experience (travel experience acceptable)
• Current, active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Valid permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of application
• TNCC certification preferred
• One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from Emergency Department work within the past 12 months required
• Must commit to working at least every other holiday

Special Requirements

• Pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)
• Background check and drug screening required
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Annual competency modules required for contracts extending beyond one year
