Emergency Department Nurse – Trauma
Position Overview
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced trauma nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift, every other weekend, delivering high-acuity care to trauma patients in a fast-paced environment.
Clinical Scope
This role focuses on Level 1 or 2 trauma patient care. You'll manage acute resuscitations, trauma activations, and emergency stabilization procedures. The ED handles a broad spectrum of acuity levels and patient presentations, requiring strong assessment and procedural skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Minimum Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience
Onboarding Requirements
Standard credentialing and compliance items include background check, immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening), fit test, and facility-specific competency testing.
Assignment Details
- Contract: 13 weeks

- Schedule: Every other weekend rotation
