Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Lymphedema
Position Overview
Join a hospital-based outpatient lymphedema program serving a diverse patient population from young adults through geriatrics. You'll provide specialized care in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment focused on lymphedema management, adaptive equipment assessment, and functional rehabilitation.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 4×10 hours (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- 5×8 schedule also available—speak with the manager about options
- No weekends, no call
- No mandatory rotation to other departments, though you may float within scope of practice to an acute care inpatient facility as needed
Requirements
- Lymphedema Certification (must be in-hand at submission—non-negotiable)
- Georgia OT License (pending at submission is acceptable)
- NBCOT Certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience; first-time travelers welcome
Clinical Environment
- Daily census: 5–7 patients
- Collaborate regularly with OTs, OTAs, PTs, PTAs, speech-language pathologists, wound care team, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors
- Treat varied diagnoses with emphasis on lymphedema care, splinting, adaptive equipment, patient education, and functional mobility
Contract Details
- Duration: 24 weeks
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- Maximum 7 days time off per contract
- Holiday work required per facility policy
- Full compliance needed before start; all documentation due the Tuesday prior to your first day
