Registered Nurse

Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Rochester, NY | 13-Week Contract

This fast-paced adult Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for nights. The unit manages the full spectrum of emergency diagnoses across adult and geriatric populations, including CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury, cardiac dysrhythmias, ortho trauma, gunshot wounds, drug overdose, acute psychosis, and STEMI presentations. A dedicated pediatric ED and crisis intervention area are supported within the department.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday, as needed
• Up to 3 shift cancellations may occur over the contract period

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: September 29, 2026
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible

Certifications & Licensure Required

• Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand at submission; NY is not a Compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (valid NIHSS required at submittal)
• PALS and TNCC preferred

Clinical Skills Required

• IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management
• Central line care, arterial line management, blood product administration, phlebotomy
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• , procedural sedation, isolation precautions
• Managing violent/suicidal behavior
