Emergency Room RN — Night Shift | Lubbock, TX | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN position is in a busy emergency department managing a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit handles high-acuity presentations such as stroke, STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, trauma, respiratory distress, and more — with comprehensive stroke and STEMI capabilities integrated into the clinical workflow.

Shift & Schedule

  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
  • 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
  • Must commit to 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Self-scheduling; block schedule approved but not required
  • 36-hour orientation

Required Certifications

ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

Clinical Skills

  • and patient assessment across all acuity levels
  • BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
  • Central line care and IV vasopressor management
  • Dysrhythmia management and stroke/CVA response
  • Isolation precautions/PPE

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience (strict requirement)
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Valid compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Dress Code

Solid navy blue scrubs; print tops not permitted.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services.
