Medical-Surgical Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. This is a day-shift role on a busy med-surg unit caring for patients across the post-operative and acute medical spectrum.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total)
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every Monday start date available
- Navy blue scrubs
Clinical Requirements
You'll manage a diverse patient population requiring:
- Advanced wound care (including complex dressing changes)
- Epidural catheter management and monitoring
- Insulin drip administration and glycemic management
- Post-operative assessment and care
- Standard med-surg nursing skills and patient advocacy
Qualifications
- Current GA or compact nursing license
- Minimum 18 months of medical-surgical nursing experience within the past 3 years
- Strong foundation in wound care, pharmacology, and acute patient assessment
Location
Atlanta, GA area (50-mile radius; local travelers not considered for this role)
