PACU Nurse – 90-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) nurse to join the team on a 90-week contract. You'll provide direct post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring safe transitions to inpatient units or discharge.
Schedule & Requirements
- Three 10-hour shifts per week (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM)
- 30 hours/week guaranteed
- 90-week contract
- Current RN license required
- Minimum 18 months PACU experience required
- PALS certification preferred
What You'll Do
Monitor post-operative patients in a fast-paced recovery environment, assess neurological and physiological status, manage airways and oxygen therapy, administer medications, and communicate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams. You'll work with patients across all surgical specialties and acuity levels.
