Cardiac Surgery Operating Room Technician

Position Overview

Join the facility's cardiac surgery team as a CVOR CST. You'll support complex cardiac surgeries, cardiac transplants, and endovascular procedures in a high-acuity operating room environment.

Schedule

• Four 10-hour shifts per week: 6:45 AM–5:15 PM (primary)
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Rotating shifts into 9:00 AM–7:30 PM
• One weekend per month
• On-call: Friday 7:00 PM–Monday 7:00 AM (30-minute response time)
• Weekly CVI short-call shifts (2 hours) and one night CVI call per week

Contract Details

• 13-week assignment
• 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
• Weekly orientation (Mondays)
• Start date: September 28, 2026

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA national certification
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• 2+ years related work experience in cardiac or endovascular surgery
• Valve replacement experience required
• Proficiency with cardiac surgery, open/endovascular vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and robotic thoracic procedures
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications

Candidate Requirements

• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Cannot have worked for the facility within the last six months
• Parking costs approximately $43/day
