Mammography Technologist – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 26-week travel assignment in an outpatient radiology setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a first-time traveler with relevant experience to expand your clinical portfolio.
Schedule & Logistics
- Shift: Day, 5×8 hours (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 26 weeks
- Weekends: No weekend requirement
- Daily Volume: Approximately 20 patient visits across 2 rooms
- Float Requirement: You may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities; flexibility is essential to the assignment.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year mammography experience
- California state license (must be in hand at submission)
- ARRT M, ARRT R, and BLS certifications
- Community hospital or outpatient experience preferred
Clinical Skills
You'll perform a full range of mammography procedures:
- Screening and diagnostic mammograms
- 3-D and digital mammography
- Fine needle aspiration and needle localization
- Stereotactic biopsies
- Radiation safety protocols
Important Notes
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer changes may not be approved.
- You must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- Two professional references covering the last year are required before start.
- The facility will provide necessary communication devices at no cost to you.
