Mammography Technologist – Travel Assignment
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy radiology department. You'll perform a full range of mammography procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 days per week
- 13-week contract
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Pre-approved time off must be requested upfront during submittal
Required Credentials & Experience
- Minimum 1 year mammography experience
- ARRT M, ARRT R, and BLS certifications
- California state license (compact license in hand at submission)
- Travel experience required
Clinical Scope
- 3-D and digital mammography
- Diagnostic mammograms and screening mammograms
- Stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations
- Fine needle aspiration
- Digital quality assurance procedures
- Radiation safety and isolation precautions
- Patient education (breast self-exam instruction)
Key Expectations
- You may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities
- Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Two professional references required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)
- Communication devices will be provided by the facility
