Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Torrance, CA

This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment. The unit manages both low- and high-risk obstetric patients, including those with hypertensive disorders, diabetes, multiple gestations, and complex multisystem conditions.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks | Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Free parking on-site

Required Certifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP
• AWHONN Advanced (hard stop — must hold prior to submission; C-EFM accepted in lieu)

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience required; travel experience required
• Charge experience preferred; preceptor skills preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Clinical Scope

• Circulate and recover cesarean sections; assist with D&C, cerclage removal, and hysterectomy
• Management of postpartum hemorrhage, including Bakri and JADA assist
• Blood transfusion and rapid infuser use
• Application of internal fetal monitoring devices (FSE and IUPC)
• Non-stress tests, TOLAC/VBAC management, and antepartum care
• Newborn assessment, resuscitation, and Baby Friendly protocols

Float & Scheduling

• Float to Mother/Baby unit required; float to a nearby sister facility may be required
• Weekend flexibility required
• Must commit to 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application

Candidates must hold a valid compact license at time of submission. Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted.
