Interventional Radiology Tech — Peripheral & Neuro IR | Columbia, SC
This travel assignment places you in an active Peripheral and Neuro Interventional Radiology department serving a diverse patient population across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The department manages 15–20 cases daily across three procedure rooms, with a strong focus on high-acuity neuro and peripheral vascular interventions.
Shift & Schedule
- Days | Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
- Varied start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM (8-hour shifts)
- On-call required after 5:00 PM on weekdays and weekends; call rotates among 6–8 staff members
Contract Details
- 13-week contract (with 26-week option)
- Start date: September 28, 2026
- Orientation held on Mondays; pre-assignment modules required within 48 hours of contract start
Required Credentials
- ARRT (R) — Radiography
- ARRT (VI) preferred
- BLS
- South Carolina Radiography State License
- Minimum 1 year of interventional radiology experience
Clinical Scope — Neuro IR experience is required, including:
- Stroke thrombectomy
- Aneurysm coiling and stenting
- AVM embolization
- Carotid stenting
- Port, PICC, and dialysis catheter placement
- Peripheral and body angiography
Additional Details
- Float to other units/campuses may be required based on census needs
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
