Interventional Radiology Technologist – Peripheral & Neuro IR | Columbia, SC

This travel assignment places you in a busy Peripheral and Neuro Interventional Radiology department serving a high-acuity patient population that includes all age groups — pediatric through geriatric — as well as complex trauma and comprehensive stroke cases.

Shift & Schedule

  • Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
  • Varied start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
  • After-hours and weekend coverage supported by a rotating on-call schedule (primary and backup) shared among team members

Contract Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks (with potential 26-week option)
  • Start date: Late September 2026
  • 40 hours per week

Clinical Scope

The department manages 15–20 cases daily across multiple procedure rooms. You will perform and assist with:

  • Stroke thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling and stenting, AVM embolization, carotid stenting
  • Peripheral and body angiography
  • Line access procedures: port placements, PICC placement, dialysis catheter placement

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response, and interpretation services.

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (VI) certifications
  • BLS certification
  • Active South Carolina Radiography State License
  • Minimum 1 year of neuro interventional radiology experience
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Preferred

  • Prior experience with neuro IR procedures is strongly preferred

Additional Notes

  • Float to qualified units/campuses may be required based on census needs
  • Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
