NICU RN – Travel Contract | Rancho Mirage, CA

Shift: Days | 3×12-Hour | 07:00–19:30

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: September 28, 2026

Specialty: NICU (Level II)

This Level II NICU opportunity is ideal for an experienced neonatal nurse comfortable managing moderate-acuity infants in a well-supported, interdisciplinary environment. The unit cares for infants greater than 32 weeks gestation, with ventilation needs under 24 hours and a weight threshold of 1,500 grams.

Unit Highlights:

• 8 private NICU rooms with physician coverage (intensivist, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist) in-house 24/7
• Interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Social Services
• PICC RN team available on-site
• Self-scheduling model
• Float requirement: Transition Nurse role in LDRP

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NRP required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and delivery room attendance strongly preferred

Schedule & Availability:

• Weekend coverage required
• Holiday rotation expected (every other holiday)
• Call possible once per pay period; 60-minute callback requirement
• Requested time off must be submitted with profile; no RTO in the first two weeks
• Permanent address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
