Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Greensboro, NC
Shift: Days, 3×12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: September 28, 2026
This Labor & Delivery unit manages high-acuity laboring patients across a full spectrum of obstetric care, including high-risk deliveries, antepartum complications, and neonatal resuscitation. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary services including respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and phlebotomy.
Schedule & Floating
- Every other weekend required (approximately 12–14 weekend shifts per contract)
- Holidays scheduled as needed
- Float required to MAU, MBU, and OBSC units
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate (preferred)
Clinical Skills Required
- High-risk delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery
- Neonatal resuscitation and APGAR assessment
- External and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement
- Management of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and hemorrhage
- Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and antihypertensive therapy
- Malpresentations, multiple gestation, VBAC management
- IV placement, blood administration, epidural anesthesia support
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year L&D experience; first-time travelers welcome
- Electronic health record experience required
- Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
- Active RN license in hand at time of submission
- No candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
- No open background check cases permitted
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Orientation is approximately 24 hours; non-billable compliance modules (2–4 hours) are completed during orientation.
