Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Location: Louisville, KY

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, days

Schedule: Every other weekend

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: September 27, 2026

About the Role

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and acute conditions, interpreting rhythms, identifying arrhythmias, and escalating care as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics
• Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Interpret EKGs and identify arrhythmias
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on patient plans of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
• Manage patient load according to unit acuity and staffing guidelines
• Uphold infection control and fall prevention protocols

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• Minimum 1+ years of telemetry experience
• 2+ years of acute inpatient care experience preferred
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
• Proficiency with the facility's electronic health record system
