Registered Nurse – Surgical Trauma
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a high-acuity surgical trauma floor. You will provide direct patient care to a diverse population including post-surgical patients, trauma victims with spinal cord injuries, and complex acute conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
- Frequency: 3 nights per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
No block scheduling; assigned shifts only. No requested time off.
Clinical Details
- Unit Support: Nursing support technicians, phlebotomists, and unit secretary on night shift
- Handoff Process: Collaborative ED nurse and admitting unit handoffs ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical trauma nursing
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred)
- Electronic health record proficiency required
- Ability to work assigned shifts with flexibility
What You'll Do
Deliver skilled nursing care in a fast-paced trauma environment. Assess and monitor acutely ill patients, manage complex wound and pain management protocols, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and support patients through critical recovery phases.
