Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse
About the Role
Provide direct nursing care on a medical-surgical unit with a cardiac population. You'll implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and communicate patient status to the healthcare team. Work with minimal supervision while exercising critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Details
The unit manages medical-surgical patients with cardiac acuity, including telemetry monitoring. You'll wear navy or maroon scrubs and document in the facility's electronic health record system.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 27, 2026
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required)
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Onboarding & Credentials
Standard facility onboarding includes core competencies, EKG competency, and unit-specific orientation. Current immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella) and TB screening required. Background check, drug screening, and reference verification are part of the process.
