Registered Nurse

Operating Room RN — Travel Contract | Arlington, VA

13-Week Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (06:30–17:00)

The facility's Operating Room is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This is an active, high-acuity surgical environment with cases spanning trauma, neurosurgery, and orthopedic spine — candidates with experience across these service lines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x10-hour day shifts (06:30–17:00)
• On-call: 3–4 call shifts every 6 weeks, 8 hours each (must be within 30 miles/30 minutes of campus)
• Floating may be required in rotation with staff, per facility policy
• Holiday coverage expected; time-off requests must be minimal and submitted upfront

Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact license — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses will not be accepted)
• BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Experience in trauma, neurosurgery, and/or orthopedic spine preferred
• Electronic health record experience required; start date will be determined based on training class availability

Vaccination Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season, October 1–March 31 (medical exemptions considered)

Additional Details

• Orientation includes up to 7 hours of non-billable online modules, factored into the overall onboarding period
