Emergency Department / Medical-Surgical Float RN — Critical Access Hospital | Julesburg, CO
This per diem, rotating 12-hour shift position is located at a critical access hospital in Julesburg, CO, with an anticipated start date of October 2026. The contract runs 13 weeks.
Unit Overview
You'll split your time between the Emergency Department and a Medical-Surgical float area, caring for a broad patient population ranging from birth through geriatric. The unit manages a wide range of acuities, including COPD, diabetes, CHF, cardiac conditions, and trauma cases.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage cardiac and diabetic drips
- Operate and interpret telemetry monitoring
- Mix and prepare medications independently — no in-house pharmacy on site
- Provide ED and inpatient medical-surgical care across a diverse patient census
Schedule
- Rotating shifts (days and nights), 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
- 91-week engagement; per diem structure
Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient RN experience
- Required certifications (must be on file at submission):
- TNCC
- ACLS
- BLS
- Manager interview required prior to offer
This role is well-suited for an adaptable RN comfortable working in a small, self-sufficient critical access environment with cross-functional responsibilities across ED and med-surg.
