Labor & Delivery RN with OR Circulator Experience
About the Role
Join the labor and delivery team at the facility in a fast-paced, high-acuity obstetric setting. You'll manage labor, delivery, and postpartum care while maintaining OR circulator responsibilities as needed. This role is ideal for an experienced L&D nurse seeking variety and professional growth in a high-risk obstetrics environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
- Every other weekend and holiday off
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 16-week contract
What You'll Need
- Minimum 2 recent years of L&D RN experience
- OR circulator experience required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Must pass a telemetry competency test on Day 1 (85% or higher)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- High-risk obstetrics experience preferred
Certifications (Required)
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification (all lessons completed; must remain valid throughout assignment)
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN preferred)
- Dysrhythmia/Telemetry interpretation course preferred
The Unit
The department operates 9 labor rooms, 2 operating and recovery rooms, and 5 rooms, managing approximately 3,000 deliveries annually. You'll work with a collaborative team focused on safe, evidence-based maternal and neonatal care.
