ICU Travel Nurse — Night Shift | Utica, NY
This is a long-term night shift opportunity in a busy, multi-specialty ICU managing high-acuity adult patients across neurological/medical, cardiothoracic, and surgical/trauma populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Contract length: 89 weeks
Unit Overview
The ICU encompasses neurological/medical, cardiothoracic, and surgical/trauma sub-specialties. Common diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro intervention, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, aortic aneurysm surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and major post-operative and trauma cases. Floating is required to other inpatient units (excluding Behavioral Health and the ED, unless on hold).
Clinical Skills Required
- CRRT experience is required
- Experience with IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management
- Cardiac/heart experience is strongly preferred and prioritized

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU); 4–5 years preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active New York RN license (verified and in good standing)
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
