Registered Nurse

Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Utica, NY

This 89-week contract opportunity places an experienced ED Registered Nurse in a high-acuity Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population from newborns through geriatrics.

Shift & Schedule

• 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (12-hour evenings, 3 days/week)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed

Clinical Scope

The ED manages a broad spectrum of emergency presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Nurses must be comfortable managing critical drips across multiple categories:

• Pressors: norepinephrine, phenylephrine, epinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, dopamine
• Vasodilators: clevidipine, nicardipine, nitroglycerin
• Anti-arrhythmics: diltiazem, amiodarone, lidocaine
• Sedation/Other: dexmedetomidine, propofol, fentanyl, TNK, heparin, insulin

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience, including some pediatric experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active NY RN license (verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Floating between units required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
