Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Utica, NY | 16-Week Contract | Evenings

This Emergency Department opportunity is ideal for experienced ED nurses comfortable managing high-acuity patients across the full age spectrum — from newborns and pediatrics through adults and geriatrics.

Shift & Schedule

• 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (12-hour shifts, 3 days/week)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Floating required

Unit Overview

The ED manages a broad range of critical presentations including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit encompasses acute care, a clinical decision unit, super track, trauma bays, and a psychiatric area. Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.

Clinical Requirements

• Comfortable administering vasoactive drips (pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics) and sedation agents
• Experience with rapid infusion and targeted temperature management
• Pediatric experience required

Certifications Required

• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• Active NY RN license (NURSYS verification required)

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Valid driver's license with address matching demographics on file
• Specialty-specific skills checklist required at submission
• RTO must be submitted at time of application
