Night Shift – Medical-Surgical Oncology Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for its medical-surgical oncology unit on a 13-week contract. This is a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with every other holiday and weekend off.
Schedule & Commitment
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Every other holiday and weekend off
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: September 13, 2026
Unit Overview
You'll provide direct patient care to oncology patients in a medical-surgical setting. Responsibilities include medication administration, symptom management, patient education, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team to support patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap immunizations
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON-Gold)
- Physical/health statement and fit test
- Color vision test
- Background check, education verification, and criminal background clearance
- Specialty-specific competency testing
- Compliance with facility policies, system security agreements, and abuse reporting training
