Night Shift Med/Surg Nurse — Des Moines, IA

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Med/Surg nurse for a night shift role. This is a 13-week contract assignment.

Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Active nursing license with current verification
• COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccinations
• 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/QuantiFERON Gold)
• Fit test and color vision screening
• Physical/health statement
• Background check, education verification, and criminal clearance
• Specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Child and adult dependent abuse training
• OFAC, EPLS, GSA/OIG, NSA, and Joint Commission compliance checks

Influenza vaccine is optional.

What You'll Need

Valid RN licensure in Iowa and readiness to complete all onboarding requirements before your start date (September 3, 2026).
