CT Technologist – 18-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility, a high-volume acute care hospital, is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy imaging department. This role serves as a primary stroke receiving center with a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts: Days (06:00–18:30), Nights (17:45–06:15), or Graveyard
- Flexibility required: Must be open to all shift times; specific shift requests cannot be accommodated
- Variable schedule based on seniority; no back-to-back night-to-day transitions
- High demand for graveyard coverage
- Willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a wide range of CT studies including head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and vascular imaging. The department handles both emergency department and outpatient cases with acuity ranging from trauma to stroke protocols. You may assist with patient transport based on staffing levels.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience; community hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT or Radiography), ARRT Advanced, and California CRT
- Compact license in hand at submission
- Two professional references (1 year coverage within last 3 years)
Contract Details
- Duration: 18 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Work Environment
High-volume department. You must work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
