Inpatient Rehabilitation RN — Night Shift | Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides specialized nursing care for adults and geriatric patients recovering from complex neurological and rehabilitative conditions, including CVA, TBI, acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury, and generalized debility. Post-surgical and post-procedure patients (s/p stroke, aneurysm repair, and other surgeries) make up a significant portion of the census.

Schedule & Float

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every 3rd weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float to other system campuses may be required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Vital signs, medication reconciliation, laboratory result interpretation
• Dressing changes; aseptic and sterile procedure tray setup
• Specimen collection and labeling (capillary draws, phlebotomy, throat, urine UA clean catch)
• Telephone and pharmacy refill/patient request management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; experienced travelers only
• Acute care rehab experience preferred
• EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation proficiency required; compliance EKG exam must be passed (2 attempts allowed)
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS required
• EMR experience required
• No local candidates within 50 miles

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• One pre-approved time off request permitted; must be submitted with application
• Contract start: September 21, 2026
