PACU Registered Nurse

Location: Tulsa, OK

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

You'll provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. In this critical post-operative setting, you'll closely monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia phase, manage pain and nausea, identify complications, and ensure stability before transfer or discharge.

Your responsibilities include:

• Implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans
• Assessing patient condition and communicating changes to the healthcare team
• Coordinating care across all disciplines
• Executing physician and nursing orders
• Assessing discharge planning needs and coordinating with team members

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in PACU, ICU, critical care, ED, or perioperative nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous PACU or critical-care experience
• CPAN or CAPA certification
• Experience with airway management and hemodynamic monitoring
• PALS certification (for pediatric care)
