Emergency Department Nurse
Location: Asheville, NC
Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: September 28, 2026
About the Role
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, acuity-varied environment
- Float across all ED sections as needed; no floating outside the department
- Work every other weekend (block scheduling not available)
- Partner with unit clerks, cardiac monitoring staff, and techs to deliver coordinated care
- Apply AIDET principles and keep patients informed throughout their visit
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency setting
- Experience in a high-volume, trauma-focused ED preferred
- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give real-time feedback
- Flexibility and willingness to work all ED areas
- Navy scrubs required
Required Certifications (before or upon hire)
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (ENPC within 90 days)
