Nuclear Medicine Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in a busy nuclear medicine and PET/CT department, performing a high volume of studies daily in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- Primary Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
- Call Coverage: One weekday evening per week (4:30 PM – 10:00 PM) and one weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
- Call-Back Rate: Minimal; on-call is primarily for urgent cases (HIDA, GI bleed, brain death, and lung studies)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of nuclear medicine experience
- ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
- Proficiency in General Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging
Clinical Scope
You'll perform approximately 10+ nuclear medicine procedures and 12–14 PET/CT exams daily, including:
- Bone, lung, gastric, and renal scans
- HIDA, thyroid uptake, and parathyroid studies
- DatScan and lymph node imaging
- FDG PET and specialty PET protocols
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care and imaging procedures
- Indirect patient care (reminder calls, scheduling coordination)
- Float between nuclear medicine and PET as needed
