Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for a night-shift position in a fast-paced clinical environment. You'll provide direct patient care and continuous telemetry monitoring to a diverse patient population with acute medical and surgical conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 shifts per week (12-hour)
- 18-week contract with extension options available
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Permanent Ohio license or compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of submission
- Professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the past 12 months (manager-level or above only)
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct patient care and continuous cardiac monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels and diagnoses
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts to achieve acceptable score)
Additional Requirements
- Negative 10-panel drug screen (completed within 12 months of start; updated annually)
- Background check completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
