LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry — Night Shift | Columbia, SC

This travel RN position is placed within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit, caring for adult and geriatric patients requiring extended acute care management. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, and unit secretaries.

Shift & Schedule

  • 4 x 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week; Monday–Friday with some weekend coverage
  • On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, rotating among 6–8 staff members

Contract Details

  • Duration: 13 weeks (with 26-week option)
  • Start date: Late September 2026

Clinical Scope

  • High-acuity adult and geriatric patients with neurological, cardiac, and complex medical needs
  • Skills utilized: telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management, tracheostomy care, complex wound care, and neuro assessment

Required Certifications

  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience
  • Neuro experience required
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of electronic medical records experience required

Additional Requirements

  • Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
  • Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable)

  • Float to other qualified units may be required based on census
