LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry – Travel RN | Night Shift | Columbia, SC
This long-term acute care (LTAC) Med/Surg Telemetry unit serves an adult and geriatric population with a daily census of approximately 15 patients. The unit operates with strong interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, radiology, phlebotomy, and a unit secretary.
Shift & Schedule
- 4x12-hour nights, 19:00–07:30
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Monday–Friday primary schedule; weekends covered through a rotating on-call system shared among 6–8 staff members
- On-call begins after 5:00 PM daily and applies to weekends
Contract Details
- Start: September 21, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks (extension to 26 weeks possible)
Required Certifications
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Required Skills & Clinical Experience
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Neurological nursing experience required
- LTAC experience preferred
- Competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Tracheostomy care and management
- Complex wound care
Additional Requirements
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Float to other units may be required based on census needs
- Pre-assignment modules and testing must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable)
- Orientation occurs on Mondays
- Electronic health record experience required (minimum 1 year)
