LTAC Med-Surg / Telemetry RN — Columbia, SC

Day Shift | 4×12 Hours (07:00–19:30) | 13-Week Contract

This travel opportunity is in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med-Surg/Telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients. The unit carries a daily census of approximately 15 patients and is supported by an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Phlebotomy, and a Unit Secretary.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, with weekend coverage provided through a rotating on-call structure shared among 6–8 staff members
• On-call begins after 5:00 PM daily and covers weekends via primary and backup rotation
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Contract length: 13–26 weeks

Clinical Skills Required

• Complex wound care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Neurological assessment and care

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MS/Telemetry experience required
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Floating to other units/areas may be required based on census needs

Additional Details

• Orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Electronic health record experience required (minimum 1 year)
