Med Surg Tele

LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Columbia, SC

This travel RN position is located on a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 15. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Phlebotomy, and a Unit Secretary.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:30)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available; 40 hours/week Mon–Fri is typical
• Weekend coverage is supported through a rotating on-call structure shared among 6–8 staff members
• On-call begins after 5 PM daily and covers weekends (primary and backup call)

Contract Details

• Start: Late September 2026
• Duration: 13- or 26-week options available

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• 1+ year of electronic medical record experience required

Clinical Skills

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Complex wound care
• Tracheostomy care and management

Floating

• Float to other qualified units may be requested based on census needs; competency is verified before any float assignment.

Compliance

• Pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable.
• Annual compliance training required; orientation held on Mondays.
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions. COVID-19 vaccine not required.
