Medical-Surgical Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nurse for a 12-hour night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with a 36-hour weekly guarantee.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications
- Perform dressing changes, insert catheters, and initiate IVs
- Monitor and interpret vital signs; adjust specialized medical equipment as needed
- Document patient measurements and promptly report adverse medication reactions
- Provide direct care to medical-surgical patients across varying acuity levels
Schedule & Staffing
- 12-hour nights (36-hour guarantee)
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- No on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma State License (or current compact license)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- NIH certification
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Two supervisory references from the past two years
Preferred
- Recent travel nursing experience
