Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (may extend occasionally to meet treatment needs)

About the Role
The facility's Radiation Oncology department is seeking a licensed Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality cancer care under the clinical direction of Radiation Oncologists. You'll be a key clinical member of a collaborative team, working directly with patients across the lifespan (neonatal to geriatric) and contributing to both patient treatment and the education of radiation therapy students.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer ionizing radiation and maintain accurate treatment records and chart documentation
- Perform simulations, assist with immobilization device fabrication, and operate CT simulators
- Check treatment plans for mathematical accuracy and assess patient needs
- Prepare and stock treatment areas; maintain equipment knowledge across all departmental areas
- Serve as a clinical instructor for radiation therapy students; monitor progress and provide monthly counseling
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, peers, and patients regarding treatment procedures and expectations
- Maintain current knowledge of all procedures and treatment protocols
- Support departmental operations, including securing the area at shift end
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy
- Current licensure by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
- Active Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of radiotherapy units, simulation, field blocking, and patient care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility for occasional on-call coverage and extended hours
Preferred Experience
- Radiation Oncology background
- Familiarity with Aria and Varian linear accelerators
