CT Technologist

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography imaging exams and assist the radiology team in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging. You'll work in a fast-paced imaging department supporting patient care and clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures per physician orders, ensuring accurate patient positioning and optimal image quality
  • Prepare and administer contrast media, monitoring patients for adverse reactions
  • Review patient history and screen for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy)
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment; troubleshoot technical issues as needed
  • Ensure radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles are followed
  • Document exams accurately in the electronic health record and imaging systems
  • Perform peripheral venipuncture when necessary
  • Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff to coordinate exams and ensure diagnostic quality
  • Assist with quality control, image archiving, and peer review processes
  • Provide instruction and supervision to imaging students and new staff as needed
  • Maintain department efficiency through proper supply management and equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R))
  • Current ARRT CT certification preferred
  • Current Kentucky radiation license
  • BLS certification
  • Three years of radiologic technology experience
  • One year of mammography diagnostic experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and position patients; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5×8)
  • Call/weekend/holiday coverage required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks
