Tele-Pulmonary Nurse — Medical/Surgical Telemetry | Tuscaloosa, AL
This 13-week travel nursing contract is in a telemetry unit dedicated to diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of respiratory disorders, lung diseases, and injuries. The unit emphasizes collaborative, high-quality care through close partnerships with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 or 48 hours per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as required
Float Requirement
Must be willing to float to other units and hospital locations.
Clinical Scope
- Telemetry monitoring in a pulmonary-focused setting
- Patient population includes those with complex respiratory conditions requiring specialized nursing care
- Strong foundation in general medicine and respiratory nursing required
Scrub Color: Solid Navy
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Licensure: Active RN license in Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience (18 months considered if working at highest license level); at least 1 year of recent pulmonary/telemetry specialty experience required
