Travel RN – Emergency Department | Wichita, KS | Night Shift

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week | Start Date: September 22, 2026

This fast-paced freestanding emergency department in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced travel RN for nights. The unit manages a broad mix of adult and pediatric patients across varying acuity levels, with team nursing utilized for the pediatric population.

Clinical Scope

• IV starts, medication administration, procedural sedation, and pediatric care

• Consistent scanning of patients and medications is required per unit policy

Unit Environment

• Each pod staffed with a charge nurse, RNs, a tech, unit clerk, physician, and midlevel provider
• High-energy, collaborative team that values adaptability and a strong sense of pace

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ED experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• CPI Blue Card required

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Background in high-volume emergency settings
• Strong commitment to patient experience
