Float Pool RN – PCU / MS / Telemetry | Augusta, GA | Night Shift
Contract: 12 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Start: September 28, 2026
This is a float pool position requiring flexibility across Medical-Surgical, MS/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units. Candidates must be comfortable rotating between multiple unit types and patient acuities throughout the assignment.
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
- Adults through geriatrics
- Diagnoses spanning the full MS, MS/Tele, and PCU spectrum
- Skills include cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, insulin drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, CVA/neuro stepdown, TBI, spinal cord injury, renal failure, wound care/wound vac, PCA, and blood product administration
- Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, IV teams, and physical therapy
Requirements
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Prior charting system experience required
- Scrub color: Navy blue
Scheduling
- Every other weekend (approximately 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract)
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO requests accepted post-offer or during orientation week
- Holiday work expected per standard rotation
- Float to MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units is required
- No on-call requirements
