PCU / Stepdown

Float Pool RN – PCU / MS / Telemetry | Augusta, GA | Night Shift

Contract: 12 weeks | Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Start: September 28, 2026

This is a float pool position requiring flexibility across Medical-Surgical, MS/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units. Candidates must be comfortable rotating between multiple unit types and patient acuities throughout the assignment.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Adults through geriatrics
• Diagnoses spanning the full MS, MS/Tele, and PCU spectrum
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, insulin drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, CVA/neuro stepdown, TBI, spinal cord injury, renal failure, wound care/wound vac, PCA, and blood product administration
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, IV teams, and physical therapy

Requirements

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Prior charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Navy blue

Scheduling

• Every other weekend (approximately 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract)
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO requests accepted post-offer or during orientation week
• Holiday work expected per standard rotation
• Float to MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units is required
• No on-call requirements
