Cath Lab Technologist – Eureka, CA

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract beginning ASAP. You'll work days, 4×10-hour shifts (06:30–17:00), managing 8–12 daily cases in a busy interventional cardiology program.

Clinical Scope

This role covers coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, peripheral vascular diagnostics and intervention, and permanent pacemaker insertions. You'll support patients with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias across a mixed adult and geriatric population. Daily census averages 6 patients in 2 lab rooms.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years cath lab experience (first-time cath lab techs considered)
  • Certifications: ARRT (preferred), Fluoroscopy Permit, BLS, ACLS
  • Pending fluoroscopy permits accepted if application is already submitted
  • Compact-state license required at submission

Schedule & Expectations

  • Day shift only – no weekends required
  • Call duty up to 4 days per week; call-off limited to 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • No float requirement for this assignment
  • 30-hour orientation provided
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Scrubs provided for cath lab staff. Free parking first day; assigned parking during orientation. The facility is recognized for excellence in coronary intervention.
