Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Utica, NY | Nights | 13-Week Contract

This busy Emergency Department manages a broad, high-acuity patient population spanning newborns through geriatric adults. Common presentations include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit operates across acute, super-track, CDU, trauma, and psychiatric care areas.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week | 36 guaranteed hours
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed

Floating: Required

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Required Certifications & Credentials

• Active New York RN license (verified via NURSYS)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC — must be in hand at time of submission

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience with some pediatric exposure
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Clinical Skills

Candidates should be comfortable with rapid infuser use and targeted temperature management, and prepared to care for patients across the full age spectrum in a fast-paced, multi-acuity environment.

Preferred

• Charge nurse capability strongly preferred
