Registered Nurse – Obstetrics
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled RN for its obstetrics unit. You will deliver holistic, individualized care across the full spectrum of obstetric patients using the nursing process and strong clinical judgment.
Shift & Duration
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Location: Machias, ME
Clinical Scope
You'll work with antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients. Responsibilities include:
- Independently perform general and unit-specific clinical skills
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned patient care under charge nurse supervision
- Manage supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental staff
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold all Standards of Nursing Practice
Requirements
- Minimum one year of acute care experience as an RN
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, and STABLE certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- COVID-19 vaccination (per state mandate)
