ICU RN – Night Shift | Lexington, KY | 13-Week Contract
Clinical Scope
- Medical ICU patient population with complex, high-acuity needs
- Telemetry monitoring — RNs read their own strips
- Ventilator management required
- Active drip titration: cardiac, sedation, and paralytic drips
Schedule & Requirements
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Self-scheduling, subject to adjustment for balanced coverage
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Holiday coverage: 2 summer shifts, 3 winter shifts
- No on-call or standby requirement
- Float to the floor possible
Team & Support
- Charge nurse present every shift and takes a patient assignment
- Nursing assistants/PCTs available on an intermittent basis
- 1–2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrubs
Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS (current)
Licensure: Active RN license required prior to submission
BSN: Not required
Cancellation Policy: The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
